Rain on the Roof

The rainy season started early this year.

Every night the rain hit the metal roof loudly.

At first the noise kept me awake.

Later, I began to enjoy it.

The sound was like a slow song.

In the morning the fields looked greener.

Farmers smiled because the water arrived on time.

Rain can be noisy, but it feeds a whole country.
